What is "cocooning"? The term cocooning was popularized in the 1990's by a marketing consultant, Faith Popcorn (her real name), in her book The Popcorn Report: The Future of Your Company, Your World, Your Life. She breaks cocooning down into 3 types:
Many of our customers have reported how much their ChappyWraps have enhanced their "socialized cocooning". Just recently one of our customers, Karen H. from California, sent a ChappyWrap to her friend Chuck and told us: "Chuck wrote me last night that the ChappyWrap was a wonderful surprise and he was wrapped up in it drinking red wine and watching his TV show. He has had a rough time lately and I knew the ChappyWrap would truly soothe his soul as it has mine so many times."
Marriage blogger/author Melissa Orlov was inspired by this testimonial and commented on it in her online blog: "We all benefit from thinking of ways to soothe ourselves in difficult times. I've worked with clients who have created "escape places" where they could find some calm time away from their family obligations; made a date with a hot bath and a good book; walked in the woods for solace; learned how to meditate; played an instrument or sung to clam themselves....I really like the image of receiving a soft, warm blanket to snuggle under to soothe your soul."
"Cocooning" is insulating yourself from the normal social environment, creating a safe place around you. There are times that we all need a break from the stresses of the sometimes harsh, outside world. There are times when we all search for a little comfort. Over the years, our customers have told us that ChappyWraps improve their home-based leisure time. Somehow, no matter what your troubles are, you feel a little better curling up to watch your favorite show wrapped in a ChappyWrap.
With Mother's Day, Father's Day and Graduations coming up soon....and Birthdays, Anniversarys, Weddings, Get Well Wishes and Condolences a constant in our lives...there are many opportunities to SOOTHE THE SOULS around you with a Chappywrap!
